Goodbye January, Hello February!

Posted on

January was such an incredibly long month. I am happy it is February, which means we are halfway to spring! That is a nice thought after a beautiful Saturday, and a rainy/snowy Monday.

This month started off as busy as every. Friday night, Anthony and I attended a wedding reception. This was my first reception only wedding. They had their ceremony at the court house. It was a great party with open bar, passed hors d’ouevres and most importantly, a cake. We even rounded out the night with dancing!

Saturday, Courtney Anthony and I attempted to go to the Phillips Collection for the final weekend of the Van Gogh show, which was of course sold out for the day (so we bought advanced tickets for Sunday). Instead we had a cup of tea together. Anthony and I went on to Wonderland Ballroom for a bagel breakfast, and then on to play two soccer games. FC Cats were fantastic on Saturday. It almost feels like playing together for three years is paying off! After I went to see That Awkward Moment with a group of girls, which is the only appropriate way to watch a Zac Efron film. We continued the night at Hanks Oyster Bar for shared snacks, delicious cocktails and finally at 10pm, $1 Oysters.

Sunday, we made it back to the Phillips! It was good to see a new exhibit. Anthony and I ate Shake Shack for lunch, went back home to whip up our Superbowl snack contributions. Ben and Julia graciously had us over for the game. Highlights included all the food (two types of chili from Ben! mac and cheese by Anthony! Two types of wings by Courtney!) and their dog Patti dancing to Bruno Mars at halftime.

I am thankful for all the awesome people I got to hang out with this weekend! And for queso.
